The Kai 7100, 4 1/4 in. scissor is ideal for tasks that require a small but powerful cutting tool. The blade is made of a high-carbon stainless steel that ensures a sharp cut, all-the-way to the tip. It also features large handles made of "Elastomer" soft plastic, which are designed for better leverage and ease of handling while cutting.
Additionally, as being the smallest of the 7000 series scissors, the 7100 is better suited for detailed tasks such as thread snipping, embroidery projects, Hardanger embroidery, beadwork, rug-hooking, appliqué projects, and fly tying to name a few.
The 7000 series scissors, including the 7100, are made of a high carbon, hardened stainless steel. The addition of carbon allows for a steeper cutting angle, giving the scissor a sharper, finer edge. The carbon also allows the finer edge to be more durable, which in-turn, extends the cutting life of these professional scissors.
DIY designer Jane Monzures take us through just what makes the Kai 7000 series so good and also runs through some of the applications best suited for these scissors. You can find them at KaiScissor.com

These Kai Professional scissors 4 1/4” #7100 are exceptionally strong and sharp for their small size. Much more precise for what I need than the same size Kai 5000 series. I purchased one pair and came back and bought another.

This is my second pair of the 7100, 1st pair stays at home and 2nd pair is in my travel kit. I use them in my hand appliqué. The serrated blade is great for precision cutting, and the serrations prevent any creeping or crawling. The fine tip is great for those extra tight spaces. Great product!

What a great joy to have discovered Kai scissors a few years ago. The professional line is beyond anything I ever expected. The handles feel great even with these old arthritic hands and the cutting edge is fabulous. I'll continue to use and buy Kai scissors in the future. In my opinion, they are the best on the market and the price point is perfect. Of course, I love them even more when Kai does their sales. Absolutely the best!

I have been searching for a replacement for a pair of 35-year-old scissors (still super sharp!) for several years. The dog chewed the handles, but they are still coveted in our family as THE BEST nail scissors. I have tried many, these are the closest I have found - not QUITE as strong and sharp as my old ones, but the best I have found. I bought a pair for each of my kids. At least the dog can't chew through these handles!

These scissors are great. Super sharp and large finger holes, yet delicate enough for embroidery.
