The KAI 5210L TRUE Left-Handed, 8" scissor has ergonomically soft handles which allow fatigue-free cutting on all types of fabric. Additionally, because of its soft handles and hardened stainless-steel blades, the 5210L can cut through multiple layers of denim with ease while trimming cottons without any fabric slippage.
The KAI 5210L True Left-Handed scissors feature both a left-handed grip and left-handed blades. This allows ease of use with your left hand, while also allowing you to see precisely where you are cutting.
Please Note the difference between a 5210L True Left-Handed vs the 5220L:
The 5210L is a genuine left handed scissor with left-handed blades - and will not work if a left-handed person is used to working with right handled scissors, as they will actually be pulling the blades away from each other - preventing the cutting action from taking place properly. This will give the effect that the scissors are dull as they will fold the fabric.
The 5220L is a left handled scissor (the handles themselves fit in the left hand) with right handed blades. These scissors have been designed to work for a left-handed person who has learned to cut with right-handed scissors.

Right handed folk don't usually struggle to cut through multiple laters of fabric? They don't have to squeeze and strain their hand to cut a simple line? They can actually see the line they cut on? I didn't realize what I was missing out on untill I got these scissors. They came quickly, were packaged neatly, and come with a blade protector. I love them.

Great to own true left-handed scissors. They are well built and sharp. No problem adapting to them after years of using right-handed scissors

Help for left handers

I was completely stunned when I tried my Kai TRUE left handed scissors. It was so amazing. I never knew how much left-handers had to adapt to a right handed sewing world until I tried these. You wont believe how easy these scissors make all cutting. If you are left handed, you have GOT to get a pair of TRUE left handed scissors. You won't go back to just plain left handed (or righthanded) scissors ever.

The very sharpest scissors ever. I sharpen knives, scissors and tools as a sideline and I have never surpassed my Kai's sharpness. I am a big guy and they fit my hand perfectly. They cut material perfectly without any ragged edges.

I ordered the True Left Handed Shears because I am suddenly taking a new interest in sewing, and I have never had a great pair of scissors. Somebody told me Kai scissors were indeed great. -- I was disappointed with the True Left scissors. They chewed fabric back near the hinge. They snipped beautifully, but I could only effectively use half of the blade. So I wrote to customer service and told them I thought I got a defective pair of scissors. They got RIGHT back to me with a great explanation. Mr. Customer Service asked if he could send, along with replacement True Left shears a pair of right-handed blades with a left-handed grip, since chances are good that when I learned to cut with scissors, the scissors I learned to cut with were right handed, and that squeeze action I do is what is making the True Left scissors mess up. -- He was right! The model I kept (and love!) are the 5220L 8-1/2" Lefty Dressmaking Shears. -- This is a company I will happily do business with again and again.
