Quilters love the KAI 5135 - 5 1/2 inch scissor for trimming “dog ears,” clipping threads when chain piecing, and general embroidery cutting tasks. This smooth, comfortable scissor is perfect in your sewing kit for take along projects and sewing classes as well.
As with the rest of the KAI 5000 series scissors, the KAI 5135 is made of a hardened steel that allows it to keep its edge for longer. It also features a soft-grip handle that helps to reduce fatigue, even over long periods of cutting.
WEIGHT: 1.3 OUNCES

*Now made in the new KAI Vietnam Factory! Same great product, same great Japanese steel!

The perfect size. Not too big, not too small. Second pair I purchased just to have a spare. Definitely the sharpest tool in the room.

Kai are now my go-to scissors. As a seamstress, I have owned many scissors, including another famous brand that was the industry standard, yet I was never pleased with the cutting. Kai meets and exceeds my expectations.
Plus, the customer service is top notch. I had reason to contact the company after I purchased. To say they went above and beyond doesn’t begin to represent the care I received. (Thank you, Kris).
I recommend Kai scissors to everyone and will continue to do so.

I've had my Kai scissors 5135 for 35 to 40 years. I Love them! Very handy size. Have never had them sharpened and the still cut fine. Only problem: this pair is held together with a screw (original one) that no longer stays tight, so I have to constantly tighten them. But I do it, because I still love these scissors. Well worth the purchase. So I am now finally going to order a new pair.

These are the perfect size scissors to have beside my chair for hand sewing, the points are very sharp and true and the blades are sturdy enough to cut a little bit of fabric, trim hems or quilt patches or any other job I've asked them to do

I found out about these scissors from my felting teacher who uses them when few people in the class had scissors that could do a good job cutting the felt in a particular application. I love these scissors- they are very precise and strong.

Easy website to navigate. We always have a serrated edge added to the scissors. They add and ship the same day.

I love these scissors! I had a pair next to the sewing machine to snip dog ears and thread, and when I bought a second machine for embroidery, IJust had to have a pair at that machine also. They stay nice and sharp all the way to the tip.
