The 5130p: 5-inch Blunt-Tip Double Curved Scissors are perfect for cutting around appliqué designs as they are a modernized version of the classic duck-bill scissors. They are also popular for long-arm quilting and accurate trimming on embroidery designs.
As with the rest of Kai 5000 Series scissors, the 5130 Blunt-Tip scissors are made of a hardened stainless steel. This allows for a smooth and consistent, fatigue-free cut.
Free shipping for orders in the USA. Additional shipping fee for international orders.

The 3rd addition to my Kai scissor collection exceeds expectations with a handy lanyard case. Very comfy for this lefty to use.

The control of the angle and sharpness of the blades are what I first admired. Then I realized the blunt tip allowed me more freedom of movement than a sharp tip which would get caught in the fabric on some angle cutting (when using a machine hoop). Fabulous feel and results.

I love the way my thumb and finger fit into the handle of these thread trimmers. The handle curve is very hoop friendly for machine embroidery. Curved blunt tips are again wonderful for trimming top threads without damaging embroidery design.

These are excellant scissors for machine embroidery and applique! The blunt tip is great for not catching bottom material or stabelizer.

Yeah, I know I can have them sharpened but it's easier just to buy another pair
