Serrated blades help grip the fabric on satin, silky, slippery fabrics. Excellent on cotton for cutting multiple layers of patchwork piecing.
The eight inch 3210 is ideal for longer cuts and would be considered a standard length. The serrated teeth are considered a micro serration, not to be confused with a pinking blade.

My 8" serrated Kai scissors are by far the best scissors I have used in over two decades of quilting. They cut like a dream - clean, neat and like a hot knife through butter - even multiple layers which can include batting without missing a beat. I have had mine for over a year now and they are still as sharp and wonderful as they were the day I bought them and they get used almost daily. I highly recommend this brand of scissors - you will love them!!

These are wonderful for cutting small quilt pieces. I don't rotary cut so I need good scissors. The finely serrated edge keeps the cutting line straight. I hope to buy other sizes in the future.

I have read about serrated scissors, but I have not owned a pair. I decided to buy them; when they came I immediately tried them on fabric. Wow! they don't slide around. Where you aim the scissor, it cuts on the mark. I'm sold on these scissors!
