Serrated blades help grip the fabric on satin, silky, slippery fabrics. Excellent on cotton for cutting multiple layers of patchwork piecing, as well as for use on applique. Wool is also an ideal fabric for these scissors.
Having the serrated teeth gives you more control, especially when turning and cutting simultaneously. This 6-inch serrated scissor gives your the best of both worlds, detailed cutting control and the ability to cut longer runs (as opposed to the 4-inch version).

I recently bought these scissors and loved using them to do some fussy cutting for my collage quilting class. The only thing is the handle is hard on my hands after many hours, I probably would have bought the larger handled ones. I enjoy them and would definitely buy Kai again! This is my third pair!

Would never use any other scissors for my projects.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I am enjoying using these scissors. They grip the fabric and make it so easy to cut accurately and closely. I like how they feel in my hand and they are very easy to use. I have been using them for cutting appliqué pieces.

I have been quilting for several years, and these are the best scissors I have ever used. I especially like the aerated blades. I like the fact that they cut all the way to the end of the blade.
I have several pair of Kai scissors, and I recommend them to my quilting friends.

A long time fan of Kai scissors, I tried the serrated ones a couple years ago. Now they are my GO TO scissors when I am cutting out fabric. Those tiny teeth keep the scissors where they are supposed to be! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Treat yourself to a pair or better yet the 3 piece set!

I have a half dozen KAI scissors, including the larger left had scissors. Especially like the 4" sharp little pair that I use for applique preparation--great tool. Look forward to your yearly sale. Thanks.

These are great. Love the size and I have 4 pair of these. One for every sewing area and 1 for travel.
