KAI Scissors / Shears will eventually need to be sharpened, as each cut you take with them will gradually dull the blades over time. However, because these shears are made of a high-carbon hardened stainless steel, it will be a while before they will need to be sharpened. Dropping your scissors / shears or cutting into a pin will require service sooner as these are precision instruments.
Our technicians are only trained to repair / sharpen KAI Scissors and Shears. Using state of the art sharpening equipment, we can restore most blades to “like new” cutting condition.
Our turnaround time is normally around 7-14 business days.
1. Wrap the tips of your scissors or shears in material that will keep them protected during transit; like old newspaper or a padded envelope if they do not have a case.
2. Fill out the order form below, making sure to print all information clearly.
3. Place all items to be sharpened in a box or padded envelope along with the completed mail order form and a check for $7.50 per pair of scissors / shears. We will pay the shipping charges to return your scissors (in the USA ONLY). Please be sure to tape both ends of the box securely! We are not responsible for lost or damaged items while in transit to us.
